Applicants sought for Rotary Youth Exchange

To have the opportunity to study abroad is a life-changing experience. Rotary Youth Exchange provides this opportunity.

If you are in year 9, 10 or 11 an opportunity for a Rotary exchange in 2019 is possible. Places are likely to be available in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil and Canada. The exchange is for 51 weeks from January 2019- January 2020.

The Rotary exchange program provides a unique opportunity for you to experience first-hand the culture of a new country, to learn a new language and gain in your personal development. The many friendships that you make will both lifelong and not just restricted to your host country.

Students who participate learn skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Once they have finished their education and seek employment, there is no doubt that employers will look favourably upon those who have travelled with such a programme.

Students are selected on application and after personal interview, firstly at the support Rotary club and secondly an intensive interview at Rotary District level in June.

View the website, talk to your family, locate a support Rotary club and be flexible, “It is not where you go, it’s just that you go.” Applications close in April 2018.
