Brent Sanders Seminar for Parents and Carers

Supporting families to form young men of vibrant spirit and strong character

Our Mission at St Edmund’s College is to build young men of vibrant spirit and strong character. The ways we do this include our strong House system, the Formation Program, service opportunities and of course the work we do in forming positive relationships every day. We also support families to support their sons. For many years now, the College has regularly hosted Brent Sanders to speak with a variety of year groups on topics of great importance and sensitivity. For the past 22 years Brent Sanders has been presenting gender-specific seminars on violence against women to male and female students in secondary schools and at universities throughout Australia. He speaks frankly and openly to create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable to learn and reflect on these and other issues.

On Tuesday May 4 Brent will be presented a seminar for parents and carers. This will reinforce the partnership between parents and carers and the College in the education and growth of the young men who attend St Edmund’s by allowing all of us to present a strong and confident voice in sensitive and vital issues. Having seen Brent’s seminars for students over the years I would strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend the next time Brent is at the College.
