Raising More Than Kids
A Mother’s love, unmatchable, intangible, and unwavering is a quiet force that raises us and binds us together. Through the quiet sacrifices they make and the steady support they offer no matter what. Their love is rarely loud but is constant. It is in the packed lunches, whispered prayers, love given during hard times, and most importantly the belief they hold in you even when the future seems uncertain.
To show love to mothers is not just a kind gesture, it’s a powerful recognition of their devotion and role of being the backbone of our families. When we celebrate mothers, we affirm them and their worth not just for what they do but for who they are. Love returned to a mother is healing. It’s a way of us giving back to them for all the times they gave their all to us, whether it be them running around from chemist to chemist trying to find you a mouthguard because you forgot yours at home to even when they make dinner after a long hard day of work. In a world that demands so much of them, giving love to your mom is a powerful way to say, You are seen and I love and appreciate all the things you do. So If you see your mom walk up to her and say ‘I love you’ and hug her.
This week, on Friday, May 9th, we have our Mother’s Day mass, which is a special event where all the Ed Moms can come together. We can unite and show our love for all the mothers and caretakers in the St Edmunds community. So, we ask that you invite them to join us for the Mass and indulge in the after-Mass morning tea.
