Captains Corner – A new normal

The school this week has begun to feel like normal again. With the return of the Junior School last week, and now as of this week the whole school has returned to face to face learning. With everyone back in the school its beginning to feel a lot more normal. With everyone back to school and face to face learning, the idea of winter sport looming and all other co- curricular events hopefully starting up again, the idea of normality is returning to the mindset of all of us.

Despite all this great news – everyone still needs to practice good hygiene and social distancing as best we can.  We all must to continue washing our hands as often as necessary and remember to have good social etiquette in these times.

Upon reflection of recent times, it is becoming increasingly apparent what a lucky country Australia really is. Upon returning slowly to “normal” it is worth thinking about what “normal” really is. As Mr Langtry keeps reminding us “we won’t always get our first choice in life” and this is worth thinking about as well.

Thanks for your time this week, have a great long weekend.
