Football 2020: Chasing the start of season

Chasing the start of season

Training will commence next week (week 6)  which will be perfect timing as we are hosting the annual MARSEC competition. Each year, we play a series of matches against Marist College. This is a great pre-season opportunity for both schools. This will occur on SUNDAY 29th March on home ground. The timing is yet to be confirmed.

This year, we also have a weekend of grading. This is being hosted by Capital Football and will be a gala day format. Please see details in the table below.

Please note that 9th March is Canberra day so training will not be held on that day.

Coach the Coach sessions with Frank Cachia

 

Old boy and award winning football coach Frank Cachia has a wealth of experience and accolades under his belt, will be running a five-week program for coaches.

MARSECOur annual Eddies v Marist football event! We are hosting at Eddies this year. It is a great opportunity for preseason games.

Once your son has nominated to join football at St Edmund’s College, you will receive an email from me with registration information. However, you can also access registration details HERE. Coaching program with Frank Cachia

We have old boy and award winning football coach Frank Cachia (current and three times winner of Capital Football NPL coach of the year) who has a wealth of experience and accolades under his belt, running a five-week program for coaches. This will commence week 5 of this term- Thursday March 5th  between 5.30pm and 7pm, any date or time changes will be communicated via Team App.

Football uniform

Jerseys are provided by the College for each team. Socks and shorts are available from the uniform shop, however there has been a delay in obtaining the stock so we will have more stock on 24th Feb.
