Junior School News: Week 2 Term 4, 2021

Although we have not had the usual uptake of parent/teacher meetings we understand that it has been important to continue to reach out to families during lockdown to check in on the progress and wellbeing of your son/s. We also take this as a message that you feel you have had plenty of communication from class teachers during online teaching and learning. Thank you for your continued support and feedback. It is always beneficial to have your input and feedback and to work together on academic and social targets for your son.

Please keep in mind that in lieu of parent/teacher meetings the college has a class free day today. Next Monday will also be the final ‘wellbeing day’ of our online teaching and learning program. There will be alternate activities set but we do encourage students to spend a significant amount of time away from the screen.

Year 6 into 7 Transition – College Leadership have been working through the best and safest ways in which to hold (or postpone) traditional transition events under guidelines for schools. Please keep an eye out for communication from the college.

Year 6 Growth and Development – Traditionally during Term 4 our Year 6 cohort look at puberty and growth changes. Year 6 are adapting the usual program and this may involve some videos to watch with your son next week before returning for some face-to-face sessions in Weeks 4 and 5 of this term. Please keep a look out for information via email.
