Junior School News: Week 3, Term 2, 2018

The Mother’s day mass celebrated in the Junior School last Friday was a very special event. To see the genuine love and affection the boys show towards their mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers is truly beautiful to witness. Thank you to all who were able to attend on Friday to share in this celebration. Fr Chris, our celebrant, reminded the boys to say thank you and to pray for their mums every day.  I hope all the mothers in our community were surrounded by lots of love on Sunday.

This week our Year 5 students are sitting their NAPLAN tests. The school decided that we would have one more year of paper testing. Given the trials we had completed, we felt this would give our students the best chance to show what they know. Many schools have opted for the online version this year. Hopefully feedback to the external testing authority will help to iron out any existing bugs or issues. From 2019, it is highly likely that we will commence online testing for NAPLAN.

We are looking forward to our Junior School assembly this Friday at 11.30am in the College Hall. All welcome.
