Junior School News: Week 4, Term 2, 2020

It has been terrific to welcome the Junior boys back on campus this week and there is a genuine buzz of excitement and nervous energy as everyone settles back into routine. The students are getting used to new expectations of hygiene and sensible distancing measures. Please note that the canteen continues to be open for online orders only. At present payment is still upon collection from the canteen on the day. Parents/carers will need to login to the Eddies Dashboard and click on the appropriate child to place an order.

I leave you with a lovely prayer that was shared by one of our Junior School teachers this week:

We fell asleep in one world,
And woke up in another.

Suddenly Disney is out of magic, Paris is no longer romantic, New York doesn’t stand anymore,
The Chinese wall is no longer a fortress, and Mecca is empty. Hugs & kisses suddenly become weapons, and not visiting parents & friends becomes an act of love.

Suddenly you realise that power, beauty and money are worthless, and can’t get the oxygen you’re fighting for.
The world continues its life and it is beautiful.

It only puts humans in cages.
I think it’s sending us a message:

“You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky without you are fine. When you come back, remember that you are my guests. Not my masters. – Haroon Rashid
