Mission Notices – Week 5, Term 4, 2020

Christmas is coming and at this time it is important to stop and reflect what this time means for us as Christians. Advent begins soon and there is a great opportunity to use this lead up time to pray, be still and give thanks for our lives in Christ. Below there are three great ways to engage and make the most of this special time in the Church calendar.

Catholic Book Shop—Adore— Advent & Christmas Daily Reflections 2020 booklet.

Advent is such a busy time of year and we can so easily forget that – at its heart, it is a time of preparation, waiting and hope for the coming of Jesus into our world and lives. This booklet is a pocket size book that will enhance your daily reflections for this time of year. Only $5 at the Canberra Catholic Bookshop; open Mon-Fri 9.30am-5pm; 55 Franklin Street, Forrest (6239 9888). As well as books, we offer a wide range of piety goods, from icons to candles to sacramental gifts, and now beautiful Christmas Season gifts, Christmas cards and Nativity scenes have arrived for purchase – so we hope you will come and visit us.
