The St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal 2018 was launched last week during the House assemblies. This is the Social Justice focus for Term 4 and each Tutor Group and Junior School class has been asked to create a hamper filled with non-perishable food items. These hampers, along with donations raised at this Wednesday’s Mufti Day will be distributed to families in our local area via the Narrabundah Conference, which is managed by former student Don Jeffrey. Every student has been asked to contribute to these hampers and it’s wonderful to see that some hampers are already well stocked with items for those in our community who may be in need this Christmas.
In addition, this week at our College Assembly we had representatives from Vinnies speaking about the importance and impact of the Christmas Appeal as well as the Night Patrol Van in the quad at lunch.
The last day for donations for hampers is 16 November.
