As we enter this special time in the Church’s calendar, we reflect on the Passion of Jesus, a journey that leads us to both death and resurrection. This powerful message reminds us of the hope that Easter brings, and how our faith guides us through the wilderness, ultimately leading us to be embraced by those we love.
This year, we are reminded not only of the love of Jesus but also the incredible support of our community. Recently, our hearts were heavy as we learned about Aiden and Aaron, who were tragically struck by a speeding car on Canberra Avenue. The outpouring of emotion and the extraordinary support from all of you has been nothing short of remarkable. We are blessed to witness the strength and resilience of both boys, who, despite the severity of their injuries, have shown remarkable progress in their recovery. While the road ahead is long, we are grateful that both Aiden and Aaron are alive and, as of today, both have been moved out of intensive care.
In these challenging times, the love and unity within our community have been a shining example of God’s grace. We are deeply grateful for the prayers, donations, food, and outpouring of support that has come from all corners of our community. Thank you to all the staff, parents, and students for showing such care and kindness. You have truly made a difference.
Our Easter Liturgy Assembly will take place on Wednesday, April 9. This special gathering offers us the opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of our Christian faith. Easter is not just a day but a season that invites us to reflect deeply on the transformative power of Christ’s victory over death, symbolizing hope, renewal, and new life for all believers.
