Success in Senior Physical Education

The senior Physical Education class has enjoyed a successful Semester One under the guidance and care of Mr Trent Masters. Senior Physical Education has seen a dramatic increase in popularity over the last few years as students are beginning to realise the need for an outlet subject in order to maintain a positive mindset in what is a busy academic life. Senior PE is a great option for students who want to remain active in their senior schooling years with the emphasis on participation, friendship and fun. Unlike High School Physical Education, there is no health component which allows the students to have more time doing the sports they love.

When asked about the Senior PE, Eamon McCoola in Year 12 responded “Senior PE is awesome, we play the sports that we love, we get to go on great excursion and its topped off by the annual Surf Trip to Tuross every year”. Mr Masters has built a program that is going from strength to strength and is seen as one of the leading PE programs within the ACT College system. Some of the excursions the boys have been on this year are Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle boarding, Golfing, Surfing, Rock Climbing and everyone’s favourite excursion Go Karting. With course selections for 2020 right around the corner please feel free to speak to the Health and Physical Education staff about enrolling in Senior PE as a part of your College package.
