Welcome back to term 2 of 2019. Our academic calendar this term is full of activities for students of all year levels. I would like to draw your attention to some of these important events and would encourage you to take every opportunity to get involved where possible. For your convenience, I have included the email address of the person to contact if you have any questions regarding an event.

The parent/teacher booking system has been available since the end of last term and we encourage you to book in to discuss your son’s progress with staff. Parents who are unable to attend or who were unable to secure a booking, are encouraged to email teachers with any concerns.
This year all schools will be completing NAPLAN online, hence the longer period allocated to completing the tests. Test results are a valuable tool to assist us in tailoring your son’s learning plan. We encourage all students in Year 5, 7 and 9 to complete the tests to the best of their ability.
The Senior College Expo is an event where we showcase all that is on offer for students in Year 10 considering to complete their Year 11 and 12 studies here at the College. We briefly explain the BSSS system and provide opportunities to speak with Heads of Faculty, Heads of House, the Careers and VET coordinator as well as the College leadership team. The Expo is the first in a series of events to assist your son through the process of electing courses and pathways for senior study in 2020. As part of this process, all year 10 students will complete an aptitude test to provide us with more data to aid the subject selection process.
