The Creative and Performing Arts are Coming Home at this Years Cabaret

The Creative and Performing Arts department is having a very busy 2021. All departments within the faculty will be taking part in the College’s school Cabaret which will be taking place on 20th May. The theme of the production is House of Eddies, with the emphasis on the show based around house and home. There will be musical numbers presented by members of each College house. The houses have carefully hand-picked students to make up a band and perform a song based on the House theme. Think “House of the Rising Sun”, “We’re Going Home” and you’re on the right lines. As well as musical numbers the year 9/10 Drama students will be performing work that they have written and directed themselves, there will be a number of media presentations along with a few special guests celebrating the night. A highlight will be Red Hill Primary School’s Wassa Wassa African drumming band and the Combined St Edmund’s and St Clare’s concert Band. For one night only the Cabaret is on Thursday 20th May in the Brother R.J. Wallace Hall, tickets can be purchased at www.trybooking.com/BQQXB

Later in the year, the CPA department will be taking part in Canberra Theatre’s Act Up festival, the Come Alive festival, the Big Band Bash and many more. Keep your eyes peeled for more information from the Home of Eddies Creative and Performing Arts Department.
