Year 10 students experience Vietnam: Dusted Off

On Monday September 17, the students of Year 10 History, in preparation for their upcoming Vietnam War study, saw Mr Brett Hunt – accomplished actor, musician and raconteur – present his renowned play Vietnam: Dusted Off.

Performed in the style of the Australian hits of the day (Normie Rowe, Col Joye, and Johnny O’Keefe), it was an inspiring performance that confronted the legacy of Vietnam’s physical and emotional pain, the indifference of government and the contempt of society, but also the brotherhood that our Vietnam Veterans forged with humility, humour and strength.

Many thanks to Mr Matthew Calder, Head of SOSE (Acting), for organising this unique experience for the young men of Year 10.
