Year 11 Retreat

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Ego Sum “I am”- Session 1

Last Friday saw Year 11 participate in their annual retreat and the first session enabled the boys to think about people they admired and why. It also saw them identify characteristics and personal qualities that they possess or that they would like to possess. The following questions helped frame this session.

Who do I admire and why? What are my strengths?

Servus Ducis “Servant Leadership” Session 2

Throughout the day the boys heard from guest speakers from Eddie Rice Camps and St Vincent De Paul, who promoted opportunities in which they may like to volunteer. Please see the links below which outline these fantastic programs.

The second session for the day facilitated the need for the boys to discern how they lead based on their identified strengths.

How do I lead? Who will make me a better leader for others?

Session 3- Mass/ Reflection

The third session had the focus of checking in spiritually and the following questions were used as a guide to assist with small group reflection.

Who is God for me? How do I build relationship with him? How does his example help me lead a better life?

Many thanks to the staff that assisted on the day- Mrs Wilson, Mr Hausen, Ms Walker, Mr Taylor and Mr Mead.

Thankyou also to Father Dan Benedetti and Father Rem who assisted with various sharing’s and in leading Mass we are very blessed to have them as our College Chaplains.
