Year 12 Retreat ‘Hodie, Cras, Heri’ – Yesterday, Today, Tommorrow

Last week our Year 12 boys headed to Jindabyne for the annual retreat which this year had the theme of ‘Yesterday, Today, Tommorrow’ which in latin translates to ‘Hodie Cras Heri’. Throughout the three days the boys analysed their past, reflected on the future and were encouraged to be present to what is right in front of them each day. The following scripture passages were used each day to further explore this theme.

Luke 14:28  – Yesterday

“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?”

Romans 12:2 – Today

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Jeremiah 29:11 – Tommorrow

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

A big thanks to the staff that attended in Mrs Blore, Mrs Wilson, Mr Mead, Mrs Brown, Mr Langford, Mrs Millar, Mr Stubbs Youth Minister, Mr Teng Youth Minister. Also to Father David Lemewu College Chaplain and MGL Brothers Veko and Atif that assisted with the music during Mass and the small group activities.
