Youth Ministry Equipping School 2019

Last week saw Canberra host the Youth Ministry Equipping School where Youth Ministers are trained in what is required to be an effective Youth Minister. There are many ways that young people can express their faith and through the equipping school all young people from the Archdiocese and beyond learn some valuable skills that will enable them to animate their faith for others.

The Youth Ministry Equipping School is an intensive formation school that inspires and resources youth, young adults and ministry leaders for the mission of the Catholic Church. At the Youth Ministry Equipping School Youth Ministers participate in workshops, plenary sessions, keynote sessions as well as praise and worship, mass and personal development – equipping them for ministry.

Can you spot Hayden Pepper the St Edmund’s College Faith and Mission Captain for 2019?

The equipping school came to a close with Cardinal Mafi from the Kingdom of Tonga leading Mass where the Youth Ministers, teachers and church leaders were commissioned and were prayed over by all the Priests present plus the Church community that was present. A fitting way to bring the four days of training to a close.

We pray for all people that are taking on new roles in evangelization in 2019. May they have a year full of positive experiences where they can spread the Good News.
