Youth Ministry Students Take on B.FIRM’s Obstacle Adventure
On Wednesday, 29th of May, our Youth Ministry students embarked on an unforgettable excursion to B Firm’s outdoor activity Centre in Symonston. From the moment we arrived, energy and anticipation were high. What began as a chilly morning quickly turned into a powerful hand-on lesson in resilience and leadership. After a dynamic warm-up, in teams Students began rotating through a variety of physically demanding activities. Students tackled the renowned obstacle courses designed to challenge both the body and mind with enthusiasm and Eddies grit.
The program focused on the key pillars of teamwork, communication, leadership and community. These pillars were evident throughout the day as students navigated climbing walls, balance beams, rope swings and muddy trenches. The activities encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, support and trust one another and develop resilience.
A key highlight of the day was witnessing students encourage each other through moments of struggle and frustration. When legs were tired and arms sore, teammates extended hands to help each other, leaving no man behind. In these moments, the deeper goals of Youth Ministry – empathy, service and perseverance – came alive in a tangible way. Like Christ – who also face difficulties but still lifted up those around him, the boys modeled compassion under pressure. Showing power in unity!
The Youth Ministry students would like to thank the incredible staff at B.FIRM for their passion and belief in young people. Their guidance helped create a space where students could safely stretch beyond their comfort zones, deepen their self-belief and strengthen their relationships with one another.
