Captain’s Corner

This week, the College is back to its normal routine after the great camps and retreats St Edmund’s offers. A switch from relaxation to study is often difficult, but very necessary for our senior tertiary students as we begin AST trials and preparation this week. The AST is a tough and gruelling process, requiring months of study to excel and score the mark we all seek. However, the AST is a great representation of the hard work and dedication that Eddies Boys put in to achieve their goals.

The staff and students are also gearing up for the annual swimming carnival, a great showing of Eddies’ pride, spirit and enthusiasm. The College’s house groups all display a unique theme, from ‘Treacy Tradies’ to ‘Clancy CIA’. The swimming carnival is an opportunity for boys to display their winning spirit, as well as providing an encouraging role model for younger or less-confident boys.

We also encourage students to sign up for Co-Curricular activities in the coming days. St Edmund’s offers a wide range of co-curricular activities, from football, basketball and rugby to Dungeons and Dragons Club. At St Edmunds, there is a fun and engaging set of co-curricular activities and we encourage every boy to try their hand at something. After all, you might not be the best at the start, but you can’t be the best without starting.
