Junior School News Term 2 Week 2

We look forward to our Open Day this Saturday which will occur between 11am – 3pm. Thank you to all of the students who have indicated they would like to assist on the day and thank you to their parents/guardian who have made arrangements for this to occur.

Mother’s Day Mass – Friday 10 May at 9.30am. Thank you to those who have been able to register for this event. It is always a great event and we look forward to seeing as many mothers and grandmothers as possible. At present we will have over 120 people at Mass and then they will come together for morning tea afterwards. NAPLAN 14 May – Friday 24 May. Year 5 will be completing NAPLAN testing during this period with catch up days held throughout the two week window.

Wednesday 15 May – Writing

Thursday 16 May – Reading

Monday 20 May – Language and Conventions

Wednesday 22 May – Numeracy

Blue and White Ball – 17 May. Tickets are still on sale for this community event.

Junior School Assembly – 24 May at 11.30am in the Hall. Please join us for a celebration of Junior School learning. This formal academic assembly will go for approximately 45 minutes with some light refreshments provided afterwards if you would like to stay around for a chat.

Woolworths Earn and Learn – St Edmund’s College is participating in the Earn and Learn program for 2019. If you shop at Woolworths then please collect the stickers they give you and donate them to our school. There are 2 collection boxes, one at Front Reception and the other at the Junior School Reception. Every sticker you donate can help us purchase resources for our school. The” Earn and Learn’ started 1st May and goes until the 24th June. Thanking you in advance! We will have a prize for the class that brings in the most stickers so look out for the A4 sheets (for stickers to go on) that will be coming home.
