Young Leaders at the Altar
We are proud to share that 12 young men have been actively participating in altar server training with Fr Chris. Through this formation, the boys have been learning about the various parts of the Mass and the vital role they play in assisting at the altar. From the ciborium to the tabernacle, the cross to the Missal, these young men have embraced this valuable opportunity for learning, spiritual growth, and leadership.
Additionally, five of our senior students have completed their training to become Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. These young men will be commissioned at the Year 12 Graduation Mass, where they will serve for the first time, ministering to their graduating peers.
It is truly inspiring to witness so many young men eager to explore their faith and express it in such a meaningful way—through service. We are incredibly fortunate to have Fr Chris Eaton MGL as part of our Eddies community, guiding and mentoring the boys in such a profound and supportive way.
Any student interested in altar serving or ministering Holy Communion is warmly invited to visit the RE/Mission office or have a chat with Fr Chris at Mass on Wednesday mornings at 8:15 am.
