St Edmund’s College, inspired by the Charism of Edmund Rice and guided by the Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Touchstones, is seeking new members for its Advisory Council. Our mission is to provide a liberating education grounded in Gospel spirituality, fostering an inclusive community committed to justice and solidarity.
The Advisory Council works collaboratively with the Principal and with the EREA Executive to support faithfulness to the Charter fore Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice tradition and quality stewardship aimed at offering the best possible learning community for students attending ST Edmund’s College. The Advisory Council provides a rich source of wisdom and insight as well as a means of strengthening community links.
To ensure that the Advisory Council is in the best position to support the Principal and the College, it is critical that each member of the Council brings skill and experience that complements the skills and experience of the other members, as well as the skills and experience relevant to the Council’s responsibilities.
To strengthen our Advisory Council, we invite expressions of interest from individuals outside the immediate St Edmund’s College community who possess:
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong commitment to the College’s mission
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Child Safety
- Education
- Finance / Accounting
- Governance and Risk
- Legal
- Property
At the moment we are seeking individuals who have no direct association with the College as a parent or alumnus, as these groups are already well-represented on the Council.
