Visit from the Archbishop

“Do your best and let God do the rest”: Archbishop Christopher Prowse Speaks with Leaders

On Thursday of last week, we celebrated the Feast Day of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint. On this special day, Archbishop Christopher Prowse visited our school to speak with our Junior and Senior Captains, along with our newly elected Student Voice Council.

This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to get to know the Archbishop and hear about his journey of faith. Archbishop Prowse spoke to the boys about the importance of reaching out to others, not wasting our time on things that aren’t important, and truly loving one another.

“Do your best, and let God do the rest,” was a phrase His Grace emphasised, reminding the boys that while we may strive and sometimes fail, God knows what is in our hearts, and we should continue to persevere.

Our boys undoubtedly took a great deal away from this experience, and we look forward to more opportunities for Archbishop Prowse to share his wisdom on faith and vocation with our students.
