Captain’s Corner

The past week at Eddies has been a rush with students working hard to get their final pieces of assessment in before the preparation for exam week shortly. We say goodbye to our Year 11 and 12 students for this semester as they finished this semester of school on Friday and will be starting their exams on Monday.

Boys you might feel the pressure of the build-up of our assessment tasks and assignments, but we have to recognize this as an opportunity to improve our grades and study for the upcoming end-of-semester exams. Don’t look at this time as a point of failure but more as an opportunity to strive and achieve our academic aspirations.

Over the weekend the blue and whites of Eddies were all over Canberra, The First XV Rugby team had a bye this week, but instead of taking this time to sit back and relax they had a training session to learn and improve from the women’s Brumbies team. The Second XV played Daramalan and went down (5-28) and the Third XV also lost to Radford (22-57). The first XI football team took a heart-wrenching loss to Belsouth (3-4).

Boys over the next week push yourselves to get over the line with assessment tasks and studying for those exams. The College Captains and I all wish you luck with your academic adventures and ask that you try your hardest over the next couple of weeks. Then reap the benefits when it comes time to finish school and have fun over the school holidays.
