Captain’s Corner – Market Day!

This week was a great celebration of a lot of things the school has to offer.

The week started off with the continuation of the school musical Beauty and the Beast, the boys worked very hard on this production and it showed. With how well the event ran, as well as the great acting, singing and performing on the stage. Big thank you goes to the girls of St Clare’s and Girls Grammar for being a part of it as well.

The week was wrapped out with a full school event of a Market day, with business students from Year 9 and 10 running stalls, selling various things and putting their marketing and business skills to the test. This was a great day overall, the activities in the afternoon conducted ranged from, mathematics competitions, to lawn bowls. The day was capped off by a great showing of school and house pride, with the house tug of war and the staff vs student tug of war. The students had last won the event in 2009 and this was the first time in 11 years the teachers had lost.

To finish off the year is coming to a close, especially for the seniors. With all the exciting things that are coming at the end of the year it is important that all of the boys keep working hard until after exams and keep themselves to a high standard for the last few weeks of school.
