SEC Rugby C.A.R.S Program Launch.

Last Saturday morning saw SEC Rugby coaches for 2023 attend a learning seminar in preparation for the upcoming season.
This included all our teams FROM Under 10s upwards.
Our coaches were taken through some skill sets and drill applications with the assistance of the senior rugby squad and the senior rugby coaching staff.
Opportunity for sharing ideas aimed at bettering our programmes, was also included.
The morning began with the launch of our CARS program (Core Age Required Skills) which provides our coaches and players with a Eddies specific “curriculum” of progressive and sequential aligned skills and drills which are age grade specific and emphasise both player development and safety and our school based Statement of Intent

 

Asbestos and White Card Course

Asbestos and White Card Course

The College is offering students in year 9 or above, the opportunity to obtain their Working With Asbestos and White Card certifications. These certifications are required for any student looking to work in the trade industry and on construction sites. The course will be run at the College on the 1st and 2nd of March in week 5. The cost for the 2 day course and both certifications is $150, or if students only require one of the certifications, it is $100 for that individual certification and training day.

To register for these courses, students are asked to add their names to the Sign Up sheet outside the library, or to email the College VET Coordinator, Mr Masters, at tmasters@stedmunds.act.edu.au  by the end of Week 3, Friday the 17th of February.

 

 

 

 

 

 

New Vortex Process

This year, Vortex will be distributed differently! A main Vortex newsletter will be released every fortnight, starting Week 2 of every Term. Smaller ‘updates’ such as this edition, will occur on every other week only if necessary.

 

 

 

Collection of Year 10 & Year 12 Certificates

Students may collect their Year 10 Certificates from Reception.  Year 12 Certificates will be available for collection from Wednesday 14 December.  A signed note/email must be provided if picked up by someone other than the student.
