What a day!
Saturday 14th September saw the last football games of the season being played across Canberra. We had all hands on deck when we tackled for the ball in Southside, Northside and beyond. It has been a pleasure to see our boys grow together this season.
There have been challenges and triumphs but most importantly, there has been time with mates. Each team has a number of different personalities and attitudes, all with the same goal and that was to play their best and represent their school. This wasn’t always easy for some as illness and injury became a hindrance but the show went on and the boys stepped up.
Last week we encouraged our boys to attend the semi-finals for our First XI boys at Calwell following their own matches. Many staff were present to cheer the seniors on, for many students it was the last game they were to play for St Edmund’s College. Unfortunately, our boys did not walk away with the win but played exceptionally well. They should be proud of their efforts this year- all of our boys should be!
Thank you so much to all the coaches and managers who have seen us through this season. We will be able to properly thank you for this season at our presentation night on September 24th in our College Hall.

GETTING READY FOR NEXT SEASON
At the end of the year, we will be communicating with parents and students who are keen to get involved in football in 2020. We have big plans on the horizon so please keep in touch!
