We celebrated Founder’s Day Mass at the College today. In doing so we acknowledged the life and action of our founder Edmund Rice who founded the Christian Brothers. As a part of the Mass we conducted the annual Br Matt McKeon Faith Service Awards which started in 2011. We as a community were blessed to have Br Matt McKeon here to present the awards to the recipients.
The Founders Day Faith and Service Awards are for those students, staff and old boys who have made an outstanding achievement to St Edmund’s College or the wider community in the area of Mission. The Awards are seen as a part of the celebration of the day and provide encouragement to the students in the living out of the Edmund Rice charism through active participation in faith opportunities and service of others.
