Last week we celebrated learning in the Junior School with our first Academic Assembly with parents in attendance in quite some time. It was wonderful to see our Year 4 students present their super heroes and to watch the drama of the Year 5 balloon cars unfold on the big screen. Another highlight was the performance of our resident rock band, Debre! Congratulations to our awards winner who were presented with certificates on the day.

Bottle Recycling – The Junior School will be collecting plastic bottles in a push to raise money to go towards playground furniture. This drive was launched during formation last week and will be a focus for Junior School over the coming weeks.
Matt Giteau Cup – Congratulations to all players who represented the school at the Matt Giteau Cup. The behaviour and sportsmanship of the students was exemplary across the day. We had one of our 5/6 teams go through to win the grand final and they will now compete at the next stage of the competition at GIO stadium at a date to be confirmed. Thank you to Mr O’Rourke, Mr Roberts, Mr Boswell and Mr Fox for their assistance on the day.
Semester 1 Reporting
Reports
At the end of this term your son/s will receive a semester report. Junior School reports will show grading in all subjects. The report will include a comment and will be available electronically in Week 10.
Team HEAT Holiday Program
St Edmund’s College Junior School will be hosting a fun and exciting Team H.E.A.T holiday program in the upcoming school holidays. This will take place on Friday 1 July and Monday 4 July – Wednesday 6 July and is run by an external provider. Numbers are limited.
