Junior School News: Week 8 Term 2, 2022

As we head into the final weeks of the semester, we have been conscious of reminding the students about the importance of finishing off all of their hard work with a strong completion of their semester’s study. Semester One reports will be made available during Week 10 and parents/carers are asked to follow the instructions for setting up parent/teacher interviews for early on in Term 3. Last Friday was the Edmums event which was a really relaxed and enjoyable occasion. It was great to see our Edmums connecting outside of the normal school setting.

Sacramental Program – Congratulations to all of our students who received their First Holy Communion and Confirmation sacraments after school yesterday at St Christopher’s Cathedral. It was a lovely occasion for all families concerned and I would like to thank Bridget Cusack and Michael Monagle for all of their hard work in running our sacramental program this year.

Brumbies Primary Schools Championships – Congratulations to our 5/6 team who won the Championship. As winners they received a signed Brumbies jersey, a picture of George Smith and a $250 voucher for sports equipment for the school. The students involved will receive recognition at our next Junior School assembly on Thursday next week. Thanks to Mr Boswell and Mr Fox for coaching the teams last Friday.

Bottle Recycling Drive – Our bottle drive is in full swing. Please feel free to send your plastic bottles in for us to recycle and raise money for the school. Thank you to Ms Cusack for organising.

Sun Smart News – Please note students are not required to wear a hat at recess, lunch and PE lessons from this week as we move into Winter.
