Prayers of Faithful at Old Boy Mass

Last Saturday the College celebrated its first Old Boy Mass in the Chapel. There were men of all ages who were present to share and reflect on the history and heritage of St Edmund’s College. Next year the plan is to schedule the Old Boy’s Mass before the Rugby Heritage Day which should hopefully see many men present to participate in the Mass and then head out to watch sport on our many ovals.

Below lists the Prayers of the faithful shared by the Old Boys, let us keep our Old Boys in our prayers as we pray.

Gracious God, continue to bless us on our journey through life.  May the Old Boys of St Edmund’s College continue to be a witness through our lives to the example set for us by Blessed Edmund Rice.

We pray to the Lord, Lord Hear our Prayer.

We are the “Blue, White and Gold” proudly unfurled – men of faith, vision, gentleness and compassion. Help them to listen with their eyes and to hear with their hearts and always be men of service to others.

We pray to the Lord, Lord Hear our Prayer.

We pray that St Edmund’s will always be place of great discovery, adventure and creativity.
May it be a place where all members build authentic relationships and a strong sense of community is experienced by all who pass through its doors.

We pray to the lord, Lord Hear our Prayer.

Hold close to Your heart today, Lord, those in our community who are unwell or whom you have called home to Yourself. As You enfold them in Your embrace, please may they experience your healing hand and rest in your loving peace.

We pray to the Lord, Lord Hear our Prayer.
