Students help man and his dog

After Rugby training this morning, 5 students were returning to school from Manuka around 8:30am when they came across an elderly man whose small dog was being attacked by a large aggressive dog.

The boys immediately ran to the aid of the elderly gentleman and pulled the large dog away. They then called the owner of the large dog and returned it to its home and waited with the elderly gentleman until his wife arrived. His dog had run away and they also went and found his dog for him, who was not in a good way and described by the boys as probably needing veterinary care. The man too had sustained an injury to his leg from the dog.

We want to extend our congratulations to Harry Buckley, Duncan Kilmister, Jed Stuart, Angus Maxwell and Brendan Jimenez on their quick and thoughtful actions. Harry was bitten by the small dog – the resulting scratch on his hand was very superficial and he is fine.

Their actions are truly representative of being Eddies boys.
