With our Year 12 students embarking on their final Semester at St Edmund’s College, many students should be starting to complete their UAC applications if they are planning on applying for University for 2020. UAC will be resending your PIN numbers to your school email address if you have misplaced or forgotten yours.
Direct entry to Uni through a UAC application is a neat and easy way to start on your studies, especially if you achieve the required ATAR, but there are a number of other programs offered by different institutions that all students should be aware of.
These include, but are not limited to:
- University of Canberra Connect program – this is a 14 week program for Accredited students or students who did not achieve the ATAR that they required for direct entry into University.
- Australian Catholic University Community Achiever Program – The program offers future students who are active in their community early entry to their undergraduate course of choice. It also provides opportunities to enhance leadership and volunteering skills. Applications close 3 September.
- Charles Sturt University Advantage – When you apply for an entry to Charles Sturt via the Charles Sturt Advantage, all you need to do is demonstrate to us how you’ve displayed resilience, empathy and a commitment to creating a world worth living in (like your motivation to study your chosen degree). Applications close 31 August.
- University of Wollongong Early Entry – Earn a place at University before you’ve even sat your final exams. The Uni will assess the results you have received in the last 18 months and make you an offer based on those. Applications open from 1-30 August.
If you would like any further information about these, and many other opportunities for University entry, come and have a chat in the Careers Office in the Library.
