Volunteers within sport at the College

St Edmund’s College relies heavily on our volunteers, especially in our sporting programs. Whether it is Cricket, Football (Soccer), Rugby, Basketball or any of our Co-curricular programs, they would not be able to run without our dedicated volunteers. They coach and manage teams, run the sideline, turn a sausage on the BBQ or help fundraise for tours and special projects. If you would like to be involved in 2019 in any capacity the first step is to get your Working with Vulnerable People card.

Obtaining the Registration

To apply for the Registration you need to:

  1. Complete the online form which is available from the Access Canberra website.
  2. Lodge the completed form with Access Canberra. They will undertake a screening process to determine whether a WWVP Registration will be granted and inform you of the outcome of your application.

If your skills lay outside of coaching a team but you wish to help in another way, we will be improving on and forming committees across our core sports (Rugby, Cricket, Football (Soccer) and Basketball). There will be a number of positions available so that no job is too big for one person to undertake. These roles will be advertised in early February 2019. If you would like to get in touch before this date please contact co-curricular@stedmunds.act.edu.au
