Wednesday 31st July is a date for the diary as we will be completing our annual Walkathon. The school project for our focus in 2019 will be nominated by our students this week and information collated by our Captains. As part of our social justice framework, each term has a new focus and this allows us as a College community to give our energy to one common place. Rather than a lone voice we are a choir of voices singing the same song and this term it is for our school.
Each student will receive a pledge card next week and on this card they are invited to ask people to sponsor them. We will have prizes for the individuals and House who have raised the most money and then we celebrate together through walking as one community next term. The remainder of the day will also have activities that are focused on our Eddies community.
It is important that every student has a say so we encourage the boys to participate in the vote that will take place this week in House and tutor groups across High school and Junior School.
Pledge payments can be made in cash or online, accessible through the ‘Online Payment’ option on our College website. Our aim is to have each student raise at least $30 in sponsorship.
Our boys have a strong sense of pride for their school and the space we all share. We are excited to learn of what the students would like to transform here at the College for current and future students to enjoy.
