ACT Government Equity Fund Applications

Equity Fund 2023 now open

Applications for the 2023 Future of Education Equity Fund are now open.

The Equity Fund provides low-income families and independent students who meet the eligibility criteria with a one-off payment to assist with costs of education expenses such as school uniforms and excursions, sport equipment and activities, tuition, and music lessons – the things that support student to fully engage in their education.

The Fund is open to eligible students living and studying at all ACT schools from preschool (attached to a school) to year 12.

Payments are:

  • $750 high school and year 11 and 12 students
  • $500 primary school students
  • $400 preschool students attending a preschool attached to an ACT public school.

Applications can be made online and close 3 November 2023. Families with students attending different schools can use the one application form available here.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:

  1. Reside in the ACT
  2. Have sole or shared parental responsibility for a dependent student(s) in grades P-12; or be an independent student
  3. Be financially responsible for the student(s)
  4. Demonstrate low-income status through:
  • a current means-tested Health Care Card or Centrelink card, which must list the student(s) as dependents; or
  • alternative forms of evidence proving low-income status or equivalent financial stress.
