Canberra Transport Change

We have received the following notice from CDC Canberra noticing quite a number of St Edmund students not having a bus pass “AT ALL”( Not registered for a pass”)-if students are not registered in the Transport NSW Website;  the numbers of bus seats will not match the number of students. This will then cause overcrowding.

If your child has not registered this year if you could do so-as it is important to have them registered
If a child does not have a travel pass -please fill out an application form on line.

If they have changed school, they can update the pass online:

Transport Canberra has announced that a new bus timetable will be implemented from Monday 9 October to align with the start of the school Term 4.
Some refinements have been made to 14 school services based on school and community feedback, and to align with the updated school bell times. St Edmund’s College is among the schools affected. Updated school packs and timetables are now available online to view and download. It is recommended that parents and students familiarise themselves with the updated morning and afternoon pickup times.

If your child catches a non-school bus these timetables feature more frequent weekday bus services, most of which will run at least every 30 minutes throughout the day.
A return to 30 minute daytime frequencies will ensure improved off-peak services can be provided between 9.30am and 3.30pm, while maintaining reliability. The increased frequency has resulted in changes to the first and last service times for some bus routes.
The new timetable does not include changes to weekend bus services and there are no changes to light rail frequency.

Further information can be found on the Transport Canberra website.
