It is that time of year again! The 2019 Football Season is around the corner and we have some changes regarding registration and some exciting opportunities this year.

Or you can access our College site by using the ‘Where can I play?’ option and select ‘St Edmund’s College’ https://www.playfootball.com.au/club
When you begin you will be asked to select the football type, please select “community” and follow the prompts from there.
If your details are already with ‘Play football’ from last year, it will identify your account which is great! Once registered you will have the option to update your contact details or any other information you need.
Online registrations are due by Friday this week 7th March. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate in contacting me.
Selecting a team
Please select the team which matches the age your son will be turning this year. If any movement needs to occur we can do that following registration.
COACHES and MANAGERS
Would you like to be involved with your son’s team? Please let me know if you are keen to coach or manage a team this year at Eddies. Come along to the information night listed below if you are interested. You will be required to apply for a WWVP if you do not have one. All volunteers must hold a current WWVP card.
Training
Pre-season training will commence from Week 6 of term depending on the registration of all players before this point. Once we have registrations we will be able to assign teams, coaches, areas to train and kit.
OPENS/First XI training will commence Tuesday 26th February on Standen.
ALL other teams will commence from March 12th and the schedule is as follows*:

Uniform
Jerseys are provided by the College but your son will require white shorts and our football socks available at the uniform shop. Shin pads and boots must be worn. Boots cannot have studs on them.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Committee 2019 and a Cuppa We will be launching our season soon but I would like to have a cuppa with some nibbles in the Edmund Rice on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 27th from 5.00pm to meet and chat about your thoughts and support for the season ahead. If you have ideas, feedback or just want to be involved, please come along. We will discuss Kanga cup and other pre-season opportunities that will be coming up this year.
We will also be calling out for interest in Committee roles for 2019. This year, we are revamping and adding roles! Please let me know if you are interested in the following roles – please note that commitment/details will be discussed on February 27th and made to suit what you are able to do. We are super keen for parent involvement! Thank you if you have already expressed an eagerness to be involved, that’s fantastic!
