If your child is feeling unwell, they need to report to Student Services (students in years 7-12) or the Junior School Reception desk (students in years 4-6). You will be contacted if your child is not well enough to stay at school. Recently we have had a few instances where students have phoned their parent without reporting to Student Services or the Junior School Reception desk. It results in rolls being inaccurate and unnecessary worry and chasing up by staff. If your child contacts you wanting to be picked up from school, please instruct them to report to Student Services or the Junior School Reception desk, and as stated above you will be contacted if your child is not well enough to stay at school.
If your child needs to leave to attend an appointment, we ask that your son be given a note explaining why he is needing to leave early and take it to Student Services (students in years 7-12) or their teacher (students in years 4-6). Class rolls will be updated and your son will be given a Pass or instructions so that they can leave class at the scheduled time. We appreciate that occasionally an appointment may be forgotten or that a unplanned situation may arise and for which you cannot give advance warning. In this situation please contact the College as soon as possible and we will locate your son and process the change of arrangements. Please understand that if we do not have advance warning that your son is leaving early, it will take several minutes for him to be located and brought to Reception.
Lastly, please remember that if your son is being picked up from College during the school day, the person collecting the child will also need to sign the ‘Collection Sheet’ at the main Reception desk.
