Junior School News Term 3 Week 7

I hope everyone enjoyed a good Father’s Day weekend. The weekend began early for many of our fathers and grandfathers with our Father’s Day Mass and morning tea. It was the first time this event has been opened up to the high school and it was terrific to see those fathers with sons across the school enjoying the occasion. There were no spare seats in the Chapel with plenty of smiling faces and man-hugs. The morning tea was provided by our fantastic hospitality students and was a real highlight. Thank you to Ms Cusack, Mr Monagle and Ms Moeller for their help and support with this event.

Congratulations to our Tournament of the Minds team who performed their challenge presentation on Sunday. Well done to Javi (Year 4), Jake (Year 5), Jay (Year 5), Flemming (Year 6) and Damien (Year 6). They did themselves and their school proud.

Market Day – Friday 6 September. Please note that the SOSE department will be organizing some Market Day stalls at lunchtime on this day. Junior School students are welcome to purchase something from the stalls and will need to bring a small amount of money to purchase something.

Rugby Grand Final Weekend – this weekend several games will be played across both days at Viking Park. Our U10 Div 1 side played right until the whistle to book their place in the Grand Final. They will play Marist at 9.00am on Sunday. The First XV will also play Marist at 3.30pm on Sunday.

Parent/Teacher Meetings – Thursday 19 September. A letter will come home shortly explaining how to book a meeting with your son’s teacher.
