This week our Junior School leaders helped the staff at Narrabundah Early Childhood School to run their athletics carnival. It was a wonderful opportunity for St Edmund’s students to help out in their local community and we were very grateful for this leadership opportunity. The behaviour of the students was outstanding. A big thank you to Mr Roberts for assisting with this excursion.
St Edmund’s is a welcoming community. We have had a number of new students begin their journey at St Edmund’s in the Junior School this term. I would like to say that I have been overwhelmed with the welcoming nature of our students. They have opened up their arms to any new boys and helped them feel part of the Eddies family. There is something immensely satisfying about seeing new students playing happily with others in the playground or trying their best in class.
Cricket Season Launch – Last week we had a very successful cricket season launch. If you are interested in finding out more about St Edmund’s cricket please email Andrew Taylor ataylor@stedmund.act.edu.au
Gnomes at Floriade – Look out for our Gnomes, expertly painted by our Year 6 students. They have been placed in the gnome area for your viewing pleasure. The gnomes will be packed up and brought back to school for your son to take home.
Junior School Assembly on Friday 21 September at 11.30am – Please join us in the hall to celebrate recent academic achievements of Junior School students.
Term Three Progress Reports – these will be available online towards the end of week 10. There will also be a link to book parent/teacher interviews for Week 2, Term 4 (Tuesday 23 October).
