Launching our new website at the end of last year has opened up new ways through which we can communicate. A priority for us has always been getting important information to students, parents and the wider community as fast as possible but to also make the content easy to read and easy to share.
In the past, Vortex has taken the form of a PDF that we compile, upload to the website, and then send to everyone as a link which they can use to access the PDF we uploaded. This Vortex was hard to read on mobile phones (and any other small screen), and individual articles were impossible to share unless you took a screenshot or shared the whole document with someone.
The new website gives us the ability to upload individual ‘articles’ as needed so that we can always share the most up to date information without waiting for Wednesday afternoon to come around. These ‘articles’ are easy to share and adjust to every screen size so that no matter the device you use to access the news, it is easy to read.
