Football launches into final term of season.
Last weekend saw our boys take to the field with gusto after the holiday break. With a fighting spirit we had some teams who were outnumbered but they were not out skilled as they held their own.
Here are some reflections from the weekend
“Magic second half of football from the u14 Blues this afternoon coming from 1-0 down at half time to record a 7-1 win over the Brindabella Blues at Calwell. Playing the majority of the game with no subs the boys had more possession and control in the first half but just couldn’t put it past the Brindabella keeper and were unlucky to be down at the break, but the second half was a different story with nearly every shot hitting the back of the net and absolute control over the game. Strong team play and a huge effort by all the boys never allowed the opposition any real chances. Well done boys, massive effort again!”
“Well done u15. Another solid match. Some excellent work in goal by Perry and Bruno ran rings around them in the midfield. Hold your heads high for today’s result just showed you can hold your own in Div 1. Marist took the win but to keep them to only 2-0 was a great team effort.”
