St Edmund’s and St Clare’s Year 12 Events

Over the past two weeks, St Edmund’s and St Clare’s Year 12 cohorts have gathered together for some social interaction time which has been greatly missed over the past two years.

On Friday the 6th June, St Edmund’s hosted a Year 12 breakfast in the Edmund Rice Centre. It was a great opportunity for the two cohorts to get together before the exam weeks approaching. The Eddie’s Hospitality teams were exceptional in their catering, and everyone enjoyed a breakfast of quiches, croissants, muesli and milkshakes.

On Wednesday the 8th June, the Year 12 Captains competed against St Clare’s in a netball game for the St Clare’s charity day. The Eddie’s team in the end were too strong for St Clare’s with some great shooting by Will Grame and Joshua Hobbs, defence manoeuvres by Matthew McGrath, Justin Thomas, Hunter Harlor, Thomas Percy and Luca Morella and outstanding agility in the centres by Liam Spence, Archer Cooney, Liam Guthrie and Henry Alsworth. It was a great game played in a fun and competitive spirit and it is hoped the tradition will continue.

The Year 12 cohort have been exceptional in their demeanour and leadership lately on retreat and at the various events. They are great role models for the younger students at the College.
