STEAM: Creativity and Collaboration

St Edmund’s STEAM co-curricular program is about sparking curiosity and fostering a love for learning through hands-on projects that blend science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Last term in Junior STEAM, teamwork took centre stage as students embarked on a medieval adventure, constructing castles and catapults. The challenge was designed to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.  Senior STEAM has been a hub of activity too, with students engaging in building go-karts, working with drones and competing in Minecraft challenges. These projects have sparked enthusiasm and provided a hands-on approach to learning complex concepts in a fun environment. Senior STEAM finishes this week but Junior STEAM will continue until the end of the year, with a focus on programming, electronics, and a fun woodwork project building bird boxes.
