The College is offering students the opportunity to complete their White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Exposure training again this semester in week 5 and 6. For any student wishing to work in the trade industry, as of October 1st 2023, all workers must hold their White Card, Asbestos Awareness and as of this year, their Silica Exposure certifications.
This course is available for students looking to complete all 3 certifications. The course will run on Tuesday the 15th, Wednesday the 16th and Tuesday the 22nd of August. The cost of all 3 certifications is $400. Students wishing to complete the certifications must either add their name to the sign-up sheet outside the Studies Office or contact Mr Masters at tmasters@stedmunds.act.edu.au
For students that have already obtained their White Card and Asbestos awareness certifications but just require their Silica Exposure certification, the College will also attempt to organise a separate one-day course this term. The cost for the Silica Exposure certification is $250. Students wishing to complete the Silica Exposure certification only, must either add their name to the sign-up sheet outside the Studies Office labelled “Silica Exposure Only”, or contact Mr Masters at tmasters@stedmunds.act.edu.au
